Das Witcher Compendium ist in meinen Augen eine schöne Ergänzung für alle Fans der Witcher Reihe.Optisch besticht es durch einen stabilen Einband und fast 200 dicke, haptisch sehr angenehme und schön bedruckte Seiten.Der Inhalt ist in mehrere Kapitel gegliedert, die sich mit bestimmten Bestandteilen der Welt von Geralt von Rivia auseinandersetzen - sei es der größere geschichtliche Zusammenhang der Welt und der Konflikte die es in dieser gibt, Religionen, Magie, Monster oder die Hexer selbst, sowie die Geschichte von Geralt von den Büchern bis hin zu den Games.Äußerst charmant ist der Stil in dem diese Informationen präsentiert werden. Jedes Kapitel ist von einem anderen Character der Witcher Welt "verfasst" und wird von Rittersporn eingeleitet - auch wenn mir persönlich der Part um die Religionen der Witcher Welt etwas zu kurz kommt, da hätte Rittersporn dann doch vielleicht besser Priesterin Neneke und nicht Yennefer fragen sollen, zu dem Punkt etwas beizutragen ;)Die Bilder die die Texte begleiten sind gut ausgesucht und die Druckqualität in meinen Augen hervorragend. Schade ist nur, daß mir ein guter Teil der Bilder bereits aus den Concept Art Büchern des zweiten und dritten Spieles bekannt waren (wofür ich für mich persönlich innerlich einen halben Stern abziehen würde) - aber für alle, die die Concept Art Books nicht kennen oder besitzen ist es natürlich nice, wenn sie dann auf diese Weise dazu kommen, einige der schönen Artworks der Spielemacher bestaunen und in ihren Schrank stellen zu können.Auf jeden Fall ein schönes und kompaktes Werk über die Welt von Geralt von Rivia.
this is basically what it is. a great book with great art and high quality common of dark horse. if you are a fan of the witcher and want a brief outline of the story and the universe this is a great way to get into it. i recommend reading the books though for full understanding. the witcher universe and story is a gripping and fun one.
Ich habe das Buch für meinen Bruder zu Weihnachten gekauft.Der findet das Klasse. Ich auch. Schöne Bilder, viel Hintergrundwissen und sehr viel Liebe zum Detail. Der Umfang ist sehr gut. Mn bezahlt jedoch auch einen großen Teil Lizenz...
Dicke und schön gedruckte seiten, ein muss einfach. Freute mich wie ein kleines kind über dieses buch. Lieferung 1 tag schneller als geplant. Wenn jeman darauf besteht kann ich bilder hochladen.
Schönes Buch, mit so vielen Informationen. Zwar in englisch, aber gott sei dank lese ich schon Comics in englisch, da gehts dann gut ^^;Eine Bereicherung zu meinen anderen Game Artbooks.
I had many different expectations .....but I didn't expect this.All in all...the book has fantastic quality and beautiful pictures. I would have liked more of the panorama pictures but this is just a wish and not because there weren't enought already ;)As for the contet you just have to buy it. It was every Euro/dollar worth. And normally I am very picky :D

Ein sehr tolles Buch mit viel zu lesen: Geschichte, Figuren und Land. Besonders gut finde ich das Kapitel über Monster und Kreaturen.
